PimpsPromo is now an ASACP Corporate Sponsor
As was announced at the end of December, PimpsPromo.com is now a Corporate Sponsor of the ASACP. This was not a decision that was reached without some thought. This year I plan on making PimpsPromo more popular than ever. When I look through my server stats, it is obvious that this site is being viewed by many surfers as well as webmasters. This is due, most likely, to the fact that I do cover events like XFANZ and FreeOne’s parties along with adult webmaster B-to-B events, and because of the high search engine rankings earned by PimpsPromo. As a result, I felt an obligation to support ASACP more than I have in the past.
For years, I have been reading on webmaster forums that it is the parent’s responsibility to monitor and restrict their children’s access to adult content on the Internet. While ASACP may be known primarily as somewhere to report child pornography on the Internet, they are more than that. They also created the RTA (Restricted to Adults) Label to help parents that utilize parental filtering software. If you have a website with content that is adult in nature, it only makes sense to add the RTA Label to your sites. It is free and easy to install. Besides, minors are not buying memberships from you, so there is no point in letting them in. If their parents are conscientious enough to add filtering software to their desktops and laptops, there is no logical reason to not assist them by adding the RTA Label to your site. For more information on the RTA Label, please visit RTALabel.org.
One of my resolutions for 2011 is to assist ASACP in their growth and to see more sites protected by the RTA Label. If you are a webmaster, please consider joining ASACP or at least adding the RTA Label to your website. If you are not a webmaster but support the idea of keeping kids safe online, please feel free to donate to the ASACP.
