There is no question about it, XBIZ has done it again. Day one of the adult B-to-B trade show, XBIZ LA 2011, had speed networking, seminars, workshops, a great lunch sponsored by Dating Gold and a welcome reception. The day was non-stop activity and every event was well-attended with several of the seminars being standing room only. There are lots of new faces and new ideas. Everywhere, business is being sought and discussed. If you did not walk away from today’s show without learning something or making a new contact you must have been somewhere else.

Monday is the official start of adult B2B event, XBIZ LA 2011, so naturally people are beginning to arrive. Some came early for the Content Protection Retreat which was produced and presented by Pink Visual. Others worked their way over to the Saddle Ranch Chop House for some food, drink and networking. We stopped by for a while and I grabbed a few photos. It was a good showing. I expect to see a lot of people at the show.

It has been confirmed that PimpsPromo will be attending and covering the 11th Annual Cybersocket Web Awards, which will be held Monday, February 7 in West Hollywood. The Cybersocket Awards show is the only one of its kind, presenting awards to the best gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender (GLBT) websites. The event will be held at the Factory, located at 652 North La Peer Drive, in West Hollywood, CA.

One thing that sets the Cybersocket Awards apart from other awards shows is that there are both “Surfer Choice” categories and “Industry Choice” categories. This ensures that not only the GLBT websites are honored, but the companies that make it possible for these sites to exist are also rewarded.

The Industry Choice Awards categories are Affiliate Program, Alternative Billing Company, Billing Company, Business Person of the Year, Company of the Year, Content Provider, Hosting Company, Industry Magazine, Live Cam, Video Company, Webmaster Community and White Label.

The Surfer’s Choice Awards categories are Amateur Video Site, Amateur Webcam, Asian Theme Site, Black Theme Site, Escort Site, European Theme Site, Fetish Site, Free Site, Hookup Site, Latin Theme Site, Live Cam, Massage Site, Mega Site, Mobile Site, Movie of the Year, New Site, Novelties Site, Original Content, Original Theme Site, Personality, Porn Blog, Porn Star, Reality Site, Video Company, VOD Site and Voyeur Site.
