Keep your porn Restricted to Adults
Monday, May 28th, 2012It is that time again, when I dedicate a little time and space on PimpsPromo to discuss the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) and Restricted to Adults (RTA). I am sure that any adult webmaster or program owner that has been around for longer than six months has heard of ASACP; but how many are actually supporting ASACP or using the RTA label to help parents that are using filtering software to keep their minor children off your porn website?
Founded in 1996, the ASACP is a non-profit organization established with the lofty goal of eliminating child pornography on the Internet. To assist in achieving this goal, the ASACP has established an international online reporting hotline for both surfers and adult webmasters to report suspected child pornography; they have created a Code of Ethics and Best Practices for adult sites, search engines, billing and hosting companies and others. In addition, ASACP developed the RTA label to enable parental filtering software, and they do their best to keep members and others in the adult community aware of current, new and pending laws dealing with child protection.
