3rd Annual Adult Entertainment Virtual Conference, Day 2

Thursday, February 27th, 2014

The 3rd Annual Adult Entertainment Virtual Conference continued Thursday, presenting more seminars, workshops and panels in an apparent attempt to touch on every topic of interest to anyone involved in the marketing of adult products on the Internet. They are doing a pretty good job and are picking speakers that have the experience and know what they are talking about.

Today started with a workshop by Lauren MacEwenon of 7 Veils on using social media as a marketing tool; and included a seminar with Joanna Angel on running a company while continuing to be a performer. There was the Keynote Address with John Stagliano and hosted by Colin Rowntree, followed by a couple more panels on the Politics of Porn and the State of the Industry. They cover a lot of topics in a short amount of time. A quick look at tomorrow’s schedule looks to be just as busy. (more…)

The third annual Adult Entertainment Virtual Convention begins

Wednesday, February 26th, 2014

The third annual Adult Entertainment Virtual Convention, AEVC 2014, began Wednesday morning and immediately presented those involved in the internet marketing of adult products with informative presentations and workshops. The day began with a workshop on mobile marketing followed by the opening address by Brian Shuster, Red Light Center CEO. The day continued with a Q & A with Ryan Bagshaw of Gay Hot Movies, and a marketing panel presented by Jo Merlone and Jay Kopita. There was also a panel on the future of the industry featuring Jennifer McEwen, Brian Shuster, Brad Mitchell, Toon Timmermans and Douglas Richter which was moderated by Stephen Yagielowicz.

This is a four day virtual trade show with the first two days being set aside for industry professionals. Besides having informative discussions, the thing I like the best is that even if you cannot take the time to play the virtual world game you can at least turn it on and listen. You never know what you might learn. On schedule for Thursday is a Keynote Address With John Stagliano hosted by Colin Rowntree which I already know will be entertaining, but there are also workshops and panels covering social media, porn politics, how to write a press release and another state of the industry panel by different people with different perspectives. You can download the program and get more information on the AEVC 2014 website. (more…)

15th annual The Phoenix Forum

The Phoenix Forum will hold their 15th annual adult webmaster event March 27-29, 2014 at the Tempe Mission Palms Hotel, the 10th consecutive year that the hotel has hosted the event and PimpsPromo will be there again photographing all the activity. While the schedule has not yet been released, history has shown that it will be a nice mix of education, networking and lots of fun. Tempe’s weather probably plays no small part in attracting attendees as webmasters from around the world come to thaw out after their long harsh winters.

Online registration for The Phoenix Forum is $275 per attendee and the cost will only be higher if you register onsite, so do yourself a favor and register early. The host hotel has once again sold out, so if you have not secured a room yet you might want to visit The Phoenix Forum website for a list of alternative hotels that are close to the Tempe Mission Palms.

The photos from this year’s event will be sponsored by merchant services provider Mobius Payments and award winning web host, MojoHost.com. This should be another great event and I look forward to seeing many of you there.
