Later, they had second Speed Networking session that appeared to be bigger than the first, a meet market and some classes on financial planning and fighting piracy. (more…) The European Summit 2012 Barcelona, Day OneSunday, March 11th, 2012Tuesday was the first day of the online entertainment B2B conference, European Summit 2012 Barcelona. The day included numerous seminars covering a variety of topics, a well-attended Speed Networking session and a couple of Happy Hours. The Hotel Miramar Barcelona is rather large but only has 75 rooms, so this meant that people were pretty well spread out most of the time. For those of us that had never stayed at this venue, it meant taking a day to figure out where all the nooks and crannies were. It seemed that a few seminars just never happened due to lack of attendance. I do not know if it was the subject matter or the fact that no one knew where it was being held. Other than that, the hotel lobby and patio areas were quite loud with small meetings being held wherever one could find a spot to sit down.
