Adult Virtual Convention Day One

Tuesday, February 28th, 2012

The first day of the Adult Entertainment Virtual Convention was held on February 24th, 2012 was brought to you by Red Light Center and UtherConvention. This day was just for the adult entertainment industry. This gallery also includes some photos from the night before, we went in to test things out and setup our profiles and avatars. The conference had seminars, exhibitors, speakers and plenty of people. Although my photos might not show as many people that were there the first day, I was logged in as “Anything Goes” not “Standard.” Day two and three we went in as Standard mode and found plenty of people around.

Day one I learned how to navigate, create landmarks and move around. It was fun to learn how to move around and find ways to take pics. A little harder to pay attention to the messages while trying to take pics of the convention, since the message box was shut off when taking the images. (more…)

XBIZ EU 2011 Review

Tuesday, February 14th, 2012

The traveling XBIZ roadshow continued its journey from Chicago, IL in June to London, UK in September, with their first [that I recall] European show, XBIZ EU 2011. The adult B2B event was billed as being held September 23-25, but the only thing going on the 25th was the double-decker bus tour. There were two days of the actual show.

This was my first visit to London, so I was unaware that I needed to arrive at the airport a good 12 hours before my first appointment. Unbelievable. Gatwick has to be the slowest airport I have ever been through. Combine that with the distance factor, and suffice it to say I missed the speed networking and lunch the first day. By the time I arrived at the venue hotel, the Radisson Edwardian Bloomsbury, the seminars had begun. (more…)

The Phoenix Forum 2012 Coming Soon

Saturday, February 11th, 2012

The Phoenix Forum 2012 will be held from March 29 through April 1, and PimpsPromo will be there again. This is the 13th annual forum and for the 8th consecutive year it is being held at the Tempe Mission Palms in Tempe, AZ. The Phoenix Forum is one of the few remaining B2B adult webmaster events that seems to attract a large number of affiliates as opposed to primarily program owners and those catering to them, so naturally it is one of the more fun webmaster shows. It does not hurt that Arizona is usually very nice that time of year, so people from all those cold places come flocking to see old friends and make new business. The pool area makes for some great networking and people watching.

Registration for the 2012 Phoenix Forum is currently $275 per person and will be $350 at the door. They have packages set up for those of you that want to bring talent, so I suggest you check out their site for more details. The Tempe Mission Palms always sells out fast, so if you have not gotten a room yet, I previously provided a list of nearby hotels with a map. (more…)
