The last time I went to this show was 2008. It was the first year at the new location, and I recall it was not only fun with the Rock The Ball and the tour of the new Kink headquarters, but there were informative seminars and workshops as well. Their Show and Sell was reminiscent of their original Corridor Cruising from the San Diego days. The only reason I missed the last two years was due to scheduling conflicts. This year, I made it the priority.

I spoke with LAJ about the show schedule and was informed that they will be kicking things off with a workshop at noon on June 23, the opening day. There will be a wide selection of seminars, classrooms, workshops, demos and special addresses running all three days of the show. Additionally, they are adding two new networking events that have not been done before at other shows. I can not tell you more because that is all I have at this time. It could be a dunk tank featuring Stuart Lawley, but that would be pure speculation. In short, there will be something for everyone, whether a program owner or and affiliate, a veteran or a n00b. A few weeks ago, it was announced that the XBIZ Summer Forum, usually held in Las Vegas, was being scrapped. Instead, the name of the adult webmaster B2B marketing event and the location have been changed. The show has been renamed to the XBIZ Summit and the location was moved to Chicago, IL. The show dates are June 10-12, 2011.

I have not been in Chicago for a couple of years, so it did not take long to decide to attend this event. Coupled with the fact that it is put on by XBIZ, you can be sure it will be educational with plenty of networking opportunities. A quick look at the XBIZ Summit schedule confirms just that. Their ever popular speed networking is back for two days, as well as seminars that include social, mobile and live cam marketing. I am really interested in their new, “3-Minute Show-Offs.” It will be interesting to observe as well as participate in. (more…)
